FOURTH YR CLERKSHIP ELECTIVE

OVERALL EDUCATIONAL GOAL OF ELECTIVE

OBJECTIVES

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITIES
The student will divide his/her time between Reproductive and Perinatal Genetics, Pediatric Genetics, Cytogenetics, Maternal-Fetal Medicine's Antenatal Testing Unit. The student will be expected to attend clinical teaching sessions and didactic conferences at St. Peter's Medical Center and will have the opportunity to research, present and, if appropriate, publish unusual case reports.

METHOD OF STUDENT EVALUATION
The following areas will be evaluated by faculty members and staff: professionalism, patient interaction; thoroughness of patient intakes; quality of case presentations, searches, and patient information letter; attitude, interest and enthusiasm; knowledge and participation.
