The Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital has received perfect 5-star ratings for every aspect of its cardiac surgery programs and was recognized as one of the top hospitals in New Jersey for cardiac care by HealthGrades. In addition, the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital has twice been recognized as one of the nation's top cardiovascular hospitals by Solucient -- based on objective measures of performance at the nation's leading acute-care hospitals.

This partnership, which encompasses the Heart Center of New Jersey, facilitates comprehensive inpatient care for individuals treated at CVINJ. The Heart Center 's modern 24-hour catheterization laboratories provide non-invasive, invasive and interventional procedures, including a complete array of testing from evaluation to cardiovascular surgery. The cardiac catheterization laboratories have one of the largest clinical volumes in the country. In 2004, over 5600 catheterizations were performed.
