Genescan Fragment Analysis

The DNA Sequencing and Synthesis Core is happy to announce that through the support of the CINJ, we have the necessary software to perform fragment analysis on the ABI 3100. This technique is extremely valuable for Microsatellite instability and loss of heterozygosity studies. More information is available through the Applied Biosystems home page. The system can analyze multiple PCR products in the 50 to 1000 base pair range using fluorescent dyes (typically FAM, VIC, NED, and HEX) and labeled molecular weight markers.
