There are several versions on this website, some free and some you can try free for 60 days and then will have to register and pay.

It is easy to use to view and print chromatogram with options to zoom or fit to one page. You can export sequences in plaint text, formatted with base numbering, FASTA, EMBL, GenBank, or GCG formats.

In the upper-right hand cornor is a "search" box. Type in "Sequence Scanner" and you will get to the page that has the software download (on the right side of the page). This new Applied Biosystems Sequence Scanner Software is free. It enables you to view, edit, print, and export sequence data. You can review all traces in thumbnail format and sort them by trace quality. In addition, you can view simultaneously the analyzed and raw trace data for a single trace. It is easy to spot sample failures readily with reports such as the Plate Report and export traces into commonly used presentation formats (.jpeg, pdf).

To use the above programs, save emailed waveform files to desktop or a folder.

Open Chromas or Scanner program
Click on “File”.
Click on “Open”.
Choose the waveform file(s) you want to view and open it.
