Predoctoral EducationThe office is responsible for student education across the spectrum of predoctoral education, including two major required courses in the medical school's curriculum. The Family Medicine Department also offers a variety of preclinical and clinical electives, and extracurricular activities. Faculty play an active role in student advising. Students are welcome to contact any faculty member for informal discussion and advice. The goals of the predoctoral program are: to provide educational and practical experiences in the principles and philosophy of family medicine; to provide learners with knowledge of the multiple contexts of health, illness and medical care; and to provide learners with an introduction to the attitudes, skills and knowledge, relevant to the practice of family medicine. The Office of Predoctoral Education is located on the Piscataway campus in UBHC, D 350. The office is open Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM.
