Requirements

Eligibility

Candidates must hold an M.D., Ph.D. or other relevant doctoral degree, and must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Applicants should have interest in pursuing primary care/health services/health policy research in academic, clinical, or public health settings following the fellowship.

Fellowship admissions and support are offered in accordance with the commitment of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey to full realization of Affirmative Action and Equal Employment Opportunity in its programs and activities.

The Admission Process

Fellowships will usually begin in July through September, but other starting dates are possible and can be requested on the application. After review of applications by the Executive Committee, candidates may be contacted for interviews. Trainees who are accepted to the Post-doctoral Fellowship Program are considered by the SPH admissions committee in a separate but coordinated process for admission to a degree program or enrollment in selected courses.
