Students were asked to locate five sites and five documents related to the various managed care topics they were interested in. They were assigned to critique and document the sites for the utility of the information they contain. As part of their project they learned to use a web browser, create, document, and organize bookmarks, use E-mail for communication and attach and transmit hyper-text documents.
We hope this site can serve as a resource to others who are interested
in managed care policy and program issues. I also hope this site may serve
as a example of how the Internet and the resources of the World Wide Web
may be woven into a class learning. Students in this course were just beginning
to use the resources available though the Internet. It should be noted
that when the class began less then one third of the students had used
E-mail, "surfed the net" or used the World Wide Web. Today two thirds
have access to the web at home, all have email but still twenty five percent
have little web experience. We invite you to explore this project
and hopefully learn about managed care.
