Message from the Associate Dean

Welcome to the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences at Piscataway, which is based in Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Our school offers a wide selection of outstanding training programs in the biomedical sciences. All of our graduate programs are jointly offered with the Graduate School-New Brunswick of Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. Although each student is enrolled in one of these universities, all graduates receive degrees jointly awarded by both. These two contiguous universities provide a wealth of scientific and educational resources and facilities, including a group of Centers and Institutes focused on specific areas of research, including cancer, biotechnology, environmental science, biomaterials, child health, bioinformatics, and other emerging disciplines on the cutting edge of modern biomedical science. Over 500 faculty members at the participating universities are available to teach, mentor and supervise thesis research of our trainees. Graduates of our programs go on to successful careers in academia, industry, government service and a variety of careers in related professions, which require scientific expertise and creativity. We hope that you will share our enthusiasm for our academic and scientific programs.
