Depending on the nature of your research, your protocol may qualify for the following

Non-human subjects research determination

Protocols that conform to one or more categories of expedited review or qualify for exemption, or those seeking non-human subjects research designation are assigned to reviewers on a rolling basis.

Protocols which require full board review are assigned to a full board meeting based upon date and time of submission to the IRB office.

Once received in the IRB office, new protocols receive an IRB protocol number and a notice of receipt is sent to the principal investigator indicating the type of review, date of meeting if applicable, and listing any documents missing from the submission.
