Middlesex County has a vibrant Jewish community with numerous synagogues,
kosher restaurants, and Jewish book and gift stores. In addition,
Rutgers University has a strong Undergraduate and Graduate Jewish
Community. Rutgers Hillel and Rutgers Chabad, both located on College
Avenue in New Brunswick, provide weekday and sabbath services, as well as
kosher dining throughout the week. Most of the kosher restaurants and
establishments are located on Raritan Avenue (Route 27) in Highland Park.
