Benefits: Lectures, discussions, problem solving exercises and case studies emphasize prevention of injuries related to poor ergonomic practice and design. This course is constructed to meet the needs of occupational health and safety professionals and others with no formal training in ergonomics. Participants will gain knowledge in: musculoskeletal disorders and their causes; identifying, evaluating and managing ergonomic risks; and developing new designs based on ergonomic principles.
Intended Audience: Occupational and physical therapists, human resources professionals, plant engineers, safety managers, industrial hygienists, and physicians and nurses who care for occupational injuries.
