Benefits: This one day course will review recent changes in spirometry standards and guidelines published by the American Thoracic Society in 1991 and 1995. It is especially useful for clinicians who trained before these changes occurred and will foster better understanding of lung function tests. This course will provide attendees the opportunity to discuss problems not foreseen during initial spirometry training.

Prerequisite:   The NIOSH-Approved (#043) Spirometry course. 

Intended Audience: Occupational health nurses, physicians, safety professionals and heathcare practitioners or other personnel involved in the performance and/or interpretation of spirometry tests.
