Lead Risk Assessor for New York State Certification

Benefits: This two-day course presents the legal and technical issues and obligations of risk assessment using US EPA-approved curriculum and Federal regulations.   The students learn to identify hazards and develop controls.  Provides a four-year certification that is valid for US EPA Region 2 in the State of New York ONLY.

Prerequisite:  Bachelor degree and 1 year experience in related field (asbestos, environmental remediation work or construction); Associate degree and 2 years experience in relate field; certification as an industrial hygienist, professional engineer, architect or in a related engineering/health/environmental field; or high school diploma and 3 years experience in a related field.

Intended Audience: Building inspectors, real estate professionals, health department inspectors, housing authority officials, engineers, industrial hygienists, safety professionals, environmental consultants and XRF operators.
