Benefits: In addition to the 40 hours of initial off-site health and safety instruction for all employees involved in hazardous waste operations, OSHA requires at least 8 hours of specialized training for supervisors. This course satisfies OSHA requirements under 29 CFR 1910.120. Participants gain knowledge in: management of personal protective equipment programs; development of health and safety plans; supervisory skills, including management style and effective communication.
Intended Audience: Private and public sector managers and supervisors directly responsible for, or who supervise employees engaged in hazardous waste operations.
