Course Decription
145 hours, spring semester of the Medical School curriculum.
Medical Physiology is designed to provide:
1) a working knowledge of the fundamentals of physiology and
2) a foundation for an understanding of the functional basis of
both human health and disease.
Various educational formats are utilized. Lectures introduce topics
and stress important aspects. Small group conferences, student
presentations and discussions with a facilitator, reinforce
and extend the lecture material.
Additional courses are available for the MD, MD/MPH and MD/PhD
students, These offerings are listed in the Graduate School section
of this Web site and in the catalogs of Rutgers University Graduate
School or the Graduate Program in Public Health.
