Rosenie Blanc, BS
Public Health Representative
Rosenie (Knikki) Blanc joined RWJAP in
September 2005 as a Public Health Representative working
on the Emergency Room Rapid HIV Test Project. Knikki
surveys Emergency Room patients regarding their willingness
to be tested for HIV, and performs Rapid HIV Testing when
appropriate and conducts HIV risk reduction education.
Knikki refers newly diagnosed HIV positive clients for
medical care and follow-up to Infectious Disease specialists
and assesses their need for additional psycho-social services.

Lisa Cerracchio, RNC, BSN
Clinical Trials Coordinator
Lisa
Cerracchio serves as the Clinical Research Coordinator
for the Robert Wood Johnson AIDS Program. In this role
she coordinates the Pediatric HIV/AIDS Clinical Trials
for the division and actively recruits patients for ongoing
and new trials. Lisa follows clinical trials patients
throughout the research process by providing expert care
and support for the HIV infected child and family. Lisa
is actively involved in the Pediatric AIDS Clinical Trials
Group and meets quarterly with caretakers of children
participating in trials to allay their concerns.

Blanca Jackson, RN
Health Educator
Blanca
Jackson is the bi-lingual Health Educator for RWJAP. Blanca
is particularly interested in HIV prevention and education
and currently spends two days a week off site at the Perth
Amboy High School's Youth Based Program where she educates
high school students about the risks and consequences
of HIV infection. She is a state certified HIV counselor
and tester and is involved in the Rapid HIV Testing Program
in the Emergency Rooms at Robert Wood Johnson University
Hospital and Bristol Myers Squibb Children's Hospital.
Blanca conducts outreach geared toward encouraging
at-risk youth to be tested for HIV. Blanca's love of children
leads her to volunteer to spend one week per summer caring
for HIV infected children at the Hole in the Wall Gang
Camp in Connecticut.

Mary Jones, RN
Nurse Case Manager
Mary
Jones is a Nurse Case Manager in the Robert Wood Johnson
AIDS Program. In her role as Nurse Case Manager, Mary
conducts home visits, encourages medication compliance,
and educates parents and HIV infected patients on their
disease, care and treatment options. Mary attends the
monthly Ryan White Title I Planning Council Meetings to
advocate for the care of HIV infected children and their
families.

Carmen Lopez
HIV Counselor
Carmen Lopez joined RWJAP in August 2005
as a bilingual HIV Counselor. Carmen surveys Emergency
Room patients regarding their willingness to be tested
for HIV, and performs Rapid HIV Testing when appropriate
and conducts HIV risk reduction education. Carmen
refers newly diagnosed HIV positive clients for medical
care and follow-up to Infectious Disease specialists and
assesses their need for additional psycho-social services.

Debra Subers, RNC, BSN
Nurse Case Manager
Debra
Subers is the RWJAP designated DYFS nurse liaison who
works in close association with DYFS to insure appropriate
HIV care and treatment for DYFS supervised children, including
residents of Rainbow House in Trenton. As the DYFS nurse
liaison, Debra conducts training sessions for DYFS Nurses,
Case Workers, and other professionals. These training
sessions have been instrumental in improving DYFS' understanding
of the special needs of this fragile population.

Margaretanne Murray Reina, BA
Management Assistant
Margaretanne Reina provides administrative
and grant support for Robert Wood Johnson AIDS Program.
Working closely with the medical director and program
coordinator, Margaretanne monitors grant funds, oversees
data collection, prepares demographic and statistical
reports for the program's funding sources and provides
programmatic support for RWJAP's research efforts.

Lorraine Nowicki
Secretary
Lorraine Nowicki provides administrative
support to the Division Chief, coordinates faculty appointments
and insurance credentialing, coordinates the education
electives for medical students and residents, and handles
patient inquiries and scheduling issues. Lorraine's dedication
to and compassion for the patients of the division has
been recognized many times by the doctors and parents
of the children we serve. |
