Clinical Programs
The Department of Psychiatry at UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School provides a full array of treatment and evaluation services for child, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. The Department provides specialized programs for child and adolescent patients, patients with disorders involving anxiety, mood, psychosis, addictions, memory, and those with concommital medical problems. There is a strong psychopharmacological component, and expertise exists in the areas of individual, family and couple therapy. Modalities also available include behavior modification, stress reduction, biofeedback, relaxation therapy and cognitive therapy, as well as the more traditional insight-oriented treatment. The Department's clinical programs are also integrated with the research and clinical trials programs, offering patients access to state-of-the-art treatment modalities.
