University Behavioral HealthCare, Piscataway (UBHC), a branch of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, and Robert Wood Johnson Medical School – Department of Psychiatry, jointly provide the facilities and staff for a comprehensive internship program in clinical psychology. Our facilities are conveniently located in Piscataway, New Jersey, approximately half-way between New York City and Pennsylvania and about 25 minutes from Princeton. We offer an extensive array of behavioral health care services, making available consultation, education, clinical training and research opportunities to our interns.

The multidisciplinary clinical staff is comprised of psychologist, psychiatrists, social workers, educators and mental health specialists. There are approximately 1,000 full time employees, including support and administrative staff. Clinical services are available across the life span from newborns to older adults. UBHC has a 24-hour walk-in psychiatric emergency room and screening services as well as inpatient units for children, adolescents, and adults. Partial care and day hospital programs are offered to children, adults with chronic psychiatric disorders and older adults with dementia and related cognitive disorders. Several outpatient offices offer brief and extended services for the entire range of psychopathology including substance abuse disorders.
