The Library of Science and Medicine in Piscataway contains over 2,000,000 bound volumes and over 1,000,000 government documents, pamphlets, maps and other materials. Periodical holdings are particularly strong in older, as currently published journals. An excellent reference collection includes most of the indexing and abstracting titles important to the sciences.Although each hospital houses its own library, they are all interconnected and interlibrary loans, MEDLINE searches, and other access to materials and services beyond any individual library can be arranged through the reference department.
The media library houses a teaching collection of 1,800 audiovisual productions consisting of self-instructional packages, audiocassettes, audiotapes, videocassettes, slides, motion pictures, filmstrips, microfiches and microforms.
