UMDNJ Libraries User Registration / Re-registration

As of November 13, 2003, users affiliated with UMDNJ can register their desktop, laptop, PocketPC, or PalmOS versions of InfoRetriever/InfoPOEMs online. This eliminates the need to call or e-mail the InfoPOEMs office in order to perform this process.

Here is how the new registration process works:

1. Users should go to the Online Access area of the InfoRetriever web site as they normally would, making sure to connect via a UMDNJ – University Libraries’ Web page if off-campus. (http://www.umdnj.edu/librweb). InfoRetriever is located on the “Databases” link, either as a “quick connect” or displayed with the complete alphabetical list of resources.

2. Once connected to InfoRetriever, users should click on Register, which is found on the navigation bar, located at the left hand side of the screen.

3. Users will then enter his/her name and e-mail address, and choose the platform for which InfoRetriever is to be registered, e.g. desktop computer, PocketPC, etc.

4. Users should follow the instructions for registering InfoRetriever on the specified platform.

5. An automatic e-mail will be sent which contains the necessary registration codes. NOTE that it is important for users to enter a valid email address, as the registration codes are sent to that address.
