The Student Government Association (SGA) is concerned with the welfare of all Robert Wood Johnson Medical School Students. Our purpose is to provide strong leadership, effective organization of students for various purposes, and to serve as a focal point for extracurricular and curricular student life. We are also here to serve as a conduit between the student body and the administration at all times. We send representatives to The Alumni Association, Executive Council, Admissions Committee, Curriculum Committee, Financial Aid, Friends and Family, and all student leader meetings.

SGA in its purest sense focuses its energy as an all-encompassing entity, overseeing the actions of all other student organizations. Some examples of our involvement include:

• Effective letter writing campaigns geared towards important student issues
• Community outreach programs serving to aid those in need
• Fund raisers for important charities
• Programs to augment first and second clinical experience
• Social events geared towards creating a greater rapport between faculty and students
• Exciting social events for students

In order to continue on with SGA's strong tradition of student involvement at RWJMS, we urge you to join us in our efforts. Whether you help out with a canned food drive, enjoy a white water rafting trip, or just add a suggestion, we appreciate your support of us.
