How to search for directory information

If you want to find directory information about a UMDNJ faculty or staff member, you must enter information that can be used to identify them. For some fields (such as building/location name) you may select a valid entry from a list. For other fields (such as a person's name) you must type in information.

If you type in information, you may use the following "wildcard" characters:

Nicknames or incorrectly spelled entries will not be matched. Using wildcard characters may help if you are unsure of spelling.

It does not matter if you use upper or lower case letters--you will get the same results either way.

To discourage the generation of mailing lists, if a query matches more than 25 people, the results will not be printed. If that occurs, please narrow your search criteria.

When searching for UMDNJ email addresses, you do not need to type the suffix "@umdnj.edu" to your query.

This directory does not contain entries for UMDNJ students.

Warning : The email address listed for a directory entry may not be correct. You may verify an email address by querying the UMDNJ email database which contains correct email addresses for everyone who has a computer account at UMDNJ. Please report any discrepancies to hostmaster@umdnj.edu

How to change directory information

The information in the UMDNJ Faculty/Staff directory comes from the printed UMDNJ Telephone Directory published periodically by IST-Telecommunications. If an entry in this directory needs to be changed or added, then you can complete the "change form" postcard in the back of the printed UMDNJ telephone directory (it is located after page 342 of the 2003-2004 printed directory) and send it in.

You may also complete the on-line change form to correct phone directory information.
