Other sources of directory information

The following information is from the Research Library of the Los Alamos National Laboratory. They offer good tips for searching for phone numbers and addresses

Yahoo! People Search: Can search for e-mail address or phone number.
Switchboard: A telephone directory of millions of residential and business names.
WhoWhere?: Can search for people or companies. Defaults to e-mail address, but can change to phone numbers. Company search takes you to company home page (if any.) Yellow pages links to Big Book(see below)

Big Book: Searches 11 million U.S. business addresses. Can enter a category or a town. From the results, you will see a map showing the business location. You can zoom in or out to see more of the map.
AnyWho: Browse by Category is like yellow pages. If you use Search for a chain name (like Holiday Inn) you will get hits for individual hotels all across the country.
Big Yellow: Yellow pages information.
GTE SuperPages: Can search businesses by town -- more by professional services than businesses
Traveler's Yellow Pages: St. Petersburg and Moscow
Yellow Pages: United Kingdom
